Not sure if being a "Legend in your own mind" :P will be enough to carry you through this coming season. While I don't have your degree of self confidence, I'm hopeful that with a lot of elbow grease, some recycled parts, and a little luck, I'll give Bunnyface a face full of prop wash. Twisted Evil

And in the spirit of competition Arrow Arrow Arrow Hi DannyBoy... I really appreeciate the offer of a "face full of propwash". May I suggest something a little easier for you Question Question Perhaps you'd consider a wash cloth, scoop and plastic bag to "pick up" after the other end which will always be closest to you... :P :P :P LOL LOL Arrow

Are you guys ready? I have an idea for a safe place to run tomorrow, depends on the thickness of the ice and the land owners permission, which shouldn't be a problem.........

Tomorrow!!! Shocked Shocked Guess I'd better get started on my build. Embarassed I'd come out to watch, but I'm working tomorrow. Hope you seasoned veterans can give me a break until I get a little practice before you come in for the kill. Crying or Very sad Right Destructo?????
Well if not, the only way you'll get close to me is if I lap you. :P :P
Ya I know, big talk from a guy without a running entry, but if I don't talk a big game now, I'll never start building. Off to the shop :) ........damn :x ........Honey, did you use all the epoxy?????

Does it have to actually be an "Airboat"? I tried out my secret weapon(classified info.) and I think I could WIPE all you guys, providing the snow was not too deep! (It's not a plane!)

PS....Danny knows, but was sworn to silence...I think!

Ahh, you are also sworn to silence by association, but I have a funny feeling the truth will come out. Bring forth "El Destructo" and prepare for battle.

Your secret's safe with me. Providing the snow is deep, you will suffer the wrath of "Destructo". I'm hoping not only to complete construction of my project soon, but prudence suggests that I install full armor, lest I too become "Destructo " fodder. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Your high powered entry may not fit the technical requirements, but I'd love to see it perform in deep snow.

Nice work on reducing the intake noise of your gasser yesterday. The final installation and setup should yield even better results. Not only much quieter, but a much cooler 8) sound. I'll bet a solid 5db reduction.

I don't think too many guys realise how noisey the intake is. I am trying to be a little pro-active in reducing my noise "footprint" in anticipation of the new field and possible reduced DB levels. I was actually quite surprised what a big difference my little "mod" made. I am now working on version 2.

Dave,
it would be nice if you could bring said noise reduction device to the next meeting and give us a short presentation on your findings!

I could do a basic overview. I'm still playing with diameters, filter sizes, end of tube locations etc. By Saturdays efforts, it looks like a very worthwhile experiment.
