| The SPADWERKS are busy churning out a bunch of airframes here, and I have been able to recruit some people to give it a try... Four airframes are under construction right now, with more to come...... |

I'm hoping to find at least 1 or 2 cheep .40-.46 size 2 strokers at this weeks swap meet. I've got "Yardwaste" up and running with a good engine that I'm not willing to sacrifice. After ruining my O.S. 40 ringed engine last year (til we meet again Super Zero ) I'm a little low on resources.
The memories of the thrill of battle are starting to take hold again. If loosing was that much fun, I can't wait to win a few.
I'm also thinking of putting a 3D profile type spad together as soon as I get some more flight equipment. It's easy to push the envelope when you're flying something cheep and almost indestructible.

Yeah if you fall out of the sky learning how to do a knife edge loop or something....it really doesn't matter...
I finally retired my armoured wing...the spar, however ,will fly again in a brand new spad.... :D |

I used an adaptation of you armoured wing idea to repair a nasty leading edge rip. A few pins to hold things in place and expanding foam for support.
I think a good spad would also be an asset at a fun fly... lowest inverted pass...balloon burst...touch and go  8) _________________ There is no such thing as "spare change" |

well we had our combat contest today - the best ever. I somehow influenced 6 other people to build spads, so there was a big increase in entrants this year. The weather was great, and the flying was intense.....intense enough to result in 3 midairs....
It was a great show for the spectators and a lot of fun... |

Well I dusted off Yardwaste and sent her up for a solo flight today. I suggested we put a battle together to close next weeks IMAC contest, but it seems Dave and I are the only combat ready jokers in the crowd. The rest of last summer's participants "aircraft" are either not flight worthy, or the pilots are too busy with IMAC. With the field set to close in short order , I don't expect to see anyone building anything new.
Can you call 2 planes in a battle a "FURBALL" Didn't think so.

Hmmm...... And here you are not even asking the KAT if he wants to come out and give you and "Eaglet" & "Daviepoo" a clawing.
I suggest we do this on a Friday evening when there aren't as many pilots around (field is generally empty on Friday night) or planes on the ground for collateral damage.

Are you coming to our neck of the woods at all this summer? _________________ He "soars" like an Eagle and lands like a Brick !
