About Us

The Radio Control Flying Club of British Columbia has been in existence for over 45 years. It was started by a few friends that got together to fly their aircraft over the skies in Surrey BC.  The club flew for many years over “Fry’s Corner” as the locals called it which was located on the south west corner of Fraser Highway and 176th Street (Highway 15) in Surrey.  Lando Field, named after the land owner Esmond “Bud” Lando was the site of many take off and landings until recently the club was forced to relocate due to encroaching residential building and the widening of the local roadways.

The new flying site is located on the western outskirts of Mission BC and over time will be equally as nice as the old field.  The new field is still in the preparation stages and will be up and operational shortly, please stay tuned to this website for the official opening announcement.  If you are interested in learning more about the club or our flight facilities, please feel free to contact the executive committee through the “Contact Us” page on this website.

Clear skies and happy flying!
